A letter from my Cat
A Purrfect Morale Boost When I Needed it Most
Life hasn’t been easy lately. Between work stress, financial struggles, and relationship problems, I’ve felt like everything is going wrong. I’ve barely had the energy to get out of bed in the morning, much less face the day with a positive attitude. But my tabby cat Oscar could sense I needed a morale boost.
One night as I sat on the couch with my head in my hands, Oscar jumped up next to me and let out a soft meow. He rubbed his fuzzy cheek against mine and curled up in my lap, purring loudly. As I stroked his warm, vibrating fur, it was like his purrs were sending me positive energy. I noticed a small piece of paper folded up in his collar. Did my clever cat actually write me a letter? I unfolded the note and read the message inside:
“Dear Human,
I’ve noticed you’ve been feeling down lately. You barely play with my catnip mouse anymore. And you’re giving me way less belly rubs than usual! I know life has been rough on you, but I want you to know you’re not alone. I’m here for you, fully present and attentive (as long as you keep my food bowl full, of course).
When you’re ready, I’m waiting to provide cuddles, playtime, and purrs galore. No matter what else is happening out there in the big, scary world, we’ll get through it…
