A quick meditation on the human condition, as I see it.. Sorry, this one’s not about cats or travel, like my regular content.
There is a facet of your personality unknown even to yourself; one that is often denied until it is too late.
Yet this element drives everything about you — from facing the awful boss everyday to enduring blood, sweat, and tears.
You crave attention from others; demonstrating how kind-hearted, clever, humorous and attractive you really are so people can appreciate you better; “fear or revere me please but think I am special.”
In essence we are all victims of this same addiction; seeking approval at every turn; we’re all craving that pat on the back and the golden watch for our valiant efforts, given out foolishly on account of our desire for validation: “look at the clever boy clutching his shiny trophy.”
Keep your head up dear wild soul, because truly we are all nothing more than apes in suits seeking affirmation.
